The War on Terrorism is the first war of the 21st century and began after the attack on American on September 11, 2001. Violent acts committed by stateless organizations against established powers are terrorism. Those currently serving in the military are defending our liberty and protecting our interests both at home and abroad.
Operation Enduring Freedom: Afghanistan/Pakistan began Oct. 7, 2001 and is continuing

- GOBLE, Ryan E. (13) - Serving in the U. S. Marines
- JOHNSON, Jeremie Alan (14) - U. S. Army, serving in Germany.
- McINTOSH/DILLS/GOBEL, Alice Lucille, was stationed in Teagu, Korea, at Camp Walker, U.S. Army and served 1 year during Operation Enduring Freedom as a mechanic. She was transferred to Fort Huachuca and left the Army August 5, 2002. She is the granddaughter of George Gobel, the comedian.
- STEEN, Eldon Robert, (13) - Major serving in the U. S. Air Force
