| From her obituary: "Brooksie M. Kerr, 77, Delmont (formerly of Kughntown) died on Wednesday, December 24, 1975 at the Washington Hospital unexpectedly. Born April 21, 1897 at Calhoun County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Meeker Moninger and Jesse Grim, she spent most of her life in Greene County and was a member of the Centenial Church at Aleppo Township. She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Harold (Maude) Weaver of Washington, Mrs. Wiley (Margaret) Bateson of Waynesburg R.D. 5, Mrs. John (Irma) Strope of Meyersdale, Mrs. George (Annabelle) Weaver of Washington, Mrs. Ed (Marlene) Phillips of Spraggs, Mrs. Robert (Faye) Nelson of Brave and Mrs. Thomas (Betty Jean) King of Waynesburg R.D. 4; three sons, Samuel R. Kerr of Delmont, Kenneth (Jim) Kerr of Brave and George (Ed) Kerr of Pine Bank; 46 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mittie Welling of Brave. She was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond and Eli, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister."121, obituary of Brooksie M. Kerr Another obituary: "Brooksie M. Mrs. Kerr was born April 11, 1897 in Calhoun County, W. Va., a daughter of the late Meeker and Jessie Grim Moniger. Her husband, Rex Kerr, preceded her in death in 1951. She lived most of her life in western Greene County and was a member of the Centennial Church, Aleppo Township. She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Harold (Maude) Weaver, of Washington; Mrs. Wiley (Margaret) Bateson, of Waynesburg R. D.
