Mrs. Elizabeth Oakley passed away at her home near Moran at 3:oo a.m. Friday,  January 6th 1928.  Mrs Oakley has been ill for the past month

Deceased was born in the state of South Carolina July 10, 1960.  On Dec 24, 1888 she was united in marriage to L.H. Oakley.  To this happy union were born four children, three sons and one daughter, all of whom make their homes in the Moran community.

Mrs. Oakley was well known in Moran community having made her home here some time.  She was a good Christian mother and wife, living at all times according to the faith she had professed when a girl.  When about 18 yrars o age she joined the Methodist church.  Mrs Oakley had been ill for the last several weeks and on the Saturday efore her death took a turn for the worse.  When told of her condition she stated that she was ready for the end.

Funeral services were held at the Moran Cemetery, Friday afternoon, at 2:30, where she was laid to rest.  Rev. Baughman, pastor of the Real Methodist Church conducted the service.

The many friends of the bereaved family extend their condolence in this sad hour.
