Jesse Earnest Oakley was born July 20, 1897 in Chickasaw Nation Indian Territory of OK, to Lewis Henry Oakley and Elizabeth Fowler.  In 1900 the family is listed on the OK census as still being there.  Sometime after 1900 they moved to Moran, Shakleford Co., Texas, where Lewis was a farmer. . July 22, 1917 Jess married Florence Stella Callaway.  They had the following Children

Alpha is buried in the Moran Cemetery.
