| This is Gaetano and was probably taken in
Palermo around 1875. He was born 22-Apr-1846 in Termini
Imeresi (not far from Palermo) several months after his father died. His parents were
Gaetano GIUFFRE and Salvadora AGLIERI RINELLA. |
This picture is believed to be taken around
the time that Gaetano and Josephine (Pirrone) were married - it may even
be their wedding picture! They were married January 1, 1880 in ermini Imerese, Sicily |
The SS Caledonia left the ports of Palermo
and Naples and arrived in New York City on May 14, 1888. Our
family boarded the ship in Palermo. |

This is probably the earliest picture we
have of Gaetano's shop. We believe this was taken around 1900
since the little guy on the step is believed to be Meanda GUIFFRE who
was born in 1890. This shop was located near the White House in
Washington, DC |

| This is probably Tony's first shop.
He is standing in the doorway with his first son, Guy, who was born in
1903 so we guess this picture was taken around 1907 or so. The
other man was Tony's business partner. |
This picture was taken in the early
1920s. Marie Ellen Guiffre is the little girl looking out the
window. The car is in the shape of a SHOE! The shop at the time was located at 1224Pennsylvania Avenue,
a few blocks from the White House in Washington, DC. |

This is Michael Marcellino with his wife Annie (Guiffre)
and 3 of their children, Agnes (Sister) and the twins, Michael and
Josephine. The twins were born in 1918 so the picture must have been
taken around 1919. |
This picture was taken about 1945. Michael and
Annie are standing in the back, top row, Josephine and Michael (the twins)
right below them and I think the other couple are LaSCOLAs. |
