In Australia people usually misspell Giuffre as Guiffre, because in the English language 'u' is normally before 'i'. There are no Guiffre's only Giuffre's that I know of in Australia. |

| Comment | Comment: I met you (Donna) at the family reunion in the 1980's. I am the grandson of Joseph and Ann Guiffre. I live in northern Virginia. I have been amazed at how much I have found from the Guiffre Family and my Dad's family (Fannon and King-Dau) on this web-site. I know Bill and Ann Guiffre and their children. I also have met all of Joseph's brothers David, Tony, and Arthur, and know Marie and Irvan West. I met a Charles Guiffre once and have met Buzzy and Bernice several times. Joseph now has 14 grand-children. (Thomas, Michael, Chris, Daniel, Madeline Fannon), (Casey, Jennifer, and Amy Hebbel), (Will Misko), (and Katie, Lauren, J. Paul, Patrick, and Cooper Guiffre). I know several of Bill and Anne's grandchildren well. Debbie and Michael Grace's (Guiffre) kids Gabriel, Henry, Georgie, and Rosie. Patty and John Schoen's kids Machias, Tyler, and Rebbeca. Baeth and Stan Scmidt's kids and Jennifer Guiffre's daughter Sarah. I saw a death notice for a Guiffre's son-in-law named Emory Munson back in November. The in-laws of the Guiffre's who I know of are my grandparents T. J. and Susan Fannon who's son Tommy married Teresa Guiffre Fannon. Also, I have met Ephie Grace, Debbie Guiffre Grace's mother-in-law, Paul and Joyce Cooper Michael Guiffre's in-laws, Julie Guiffre's ex-husband's mother Mercedes Misko, and Bill Guiffre's mother-in-law Gladys Kelly. I was surfing the web and thought I would try entering my maiden name - Giuffre. For many years My father and his brother were the only Giuffres in the phone book of the Philadelphia, PA region. Both my father and his brother had two daughters each. Alas, the name has become even more rare. Although we have given the Giuffre name as a middle name to some of our children. My grandfather emigrated to the USA from Messina, Sicily. We have visited cousins in Sicily and delight in the contact with our common history.
