Simon Isaac came to America in 1880. He was born in 1859 in the parish of Fränninge in Malmöhus län in Sweden. This is the part of Sweden known as Skåne province. His parents were Jahn Mårtinsson and Johanna Nilsdotter. They also came to Kiron in 1880. In Kiron, Simon chose the surname of Lindstrom.
Nelly was born in 1866 in the parish of Välinge. This parish is in Malmöhus län too. Her parents are Per Nilsson and Kersti Pålsdotter Berggren. She came to America in 1884. Her uncle and aunt had emigrated to Kiron previously and had families here.
The Lindstroms were farmers northwest of Kiron in Hayes township until after 1910 and then moved to Kiron by 1920. They had 6 children: Victor, Anton, George, Bert, Harry, and Julia. Simon and Nelly are buried in the Kiron cemetery.
