In 1931, seven of the eleven children of Axel and Mathilda were still alive. Fredrik had died in Sweden. Carl Oskar and Anna had died in the 1877 diphtheria epidemic. And Ida who struggled with life died at age 15 in 1901. Hilda had married John Peter Turin. Nellie had married Everett Warren, Axel had married Ida Johnson, Amanda had married Carl Gustafson, Anna Othelia had married Ed Clauson, Alice had married Rev. Wicksel, and Mamie had married Marvin Snare. Several of the members of these families were present in 1931 for a family reunion. The location is believed to be a park up by Correctionville.
