Charles, Gust, &
Anna Swanson - Martin Olsson /abt 1900

|
Nels August Swanson (1859-1927) and his wife Anna Sophia Petersdotter
(1864-1922) emigrated in 1887 from Misterhult parish in Sweden.
His brother Charles Otto Swanson (1869-1961) emigrated in 1886
also from Misterhult. Their cousin, Martin Olson, was born on
the Nils Olson farm in the southwest quarter of Otter Creek section
12 (later known as the Youngberg place). Shortly after 1900,
these families began moving to Union County, South Dakota in
the Big Springs and Alcester areas. The Swanson's were thought
to have been living in the "old Kiron" area before
they moved. If anyone recognizes this house, please share its
location so others may know. |
