2 Daughters of Nels Peter and Mary Swanson

Nels Peter Swanson (1865-1930) came from Strövelstrop parish in Sweden. His wife, Mary Olson, was born in Björnekulla parish in Sweden. Their farm became the site of the town of Kiron in 1899. They had nine children -- five were daughters: Emma Elizabeth, Mabel G., Edna Celia, Judith Mathilda, and Evelyn J. Swanson. Emma and Mabel are on this picture according to identifications provided by Emma's daughter AnnaMarie Larson Olsen.
Emma married Oscar Jacob Larson who was an engineer for the Chicago and North Western Railroad. Oscar's brother Charles John Larson and father Lars Victor Larson were Kiron's first meat market butcher men. The Larson's trace their ancestry to Östergötland län in Sweden and had most of their family in the Charter Oak area.
