This picture had been mounted in a little photo
album of Thomas Stricker. Thomas grew up in Kiron and went to
the Kiron High School and graduated in 1934. He was a member
of the starting five of the boys basketball team that achieved
the most victories of any Kiron team in the Iowa High School
basketball tournaments. He loved airplanes and a number of photos
in his album give evidence of that. He entered the aviation corp
in WWII and became a pilot. He flew several missions against
Hitler's Germany. He never returned from his last mission. Here
