Anders was born 23 September
1841 in Grönstorp in Gärdserum parish in Kalmar län
Sverige. In 1869, he emigrated from Gärdserum to Chicago
and then onto western Iowa. In 1875 he married Hulda Gustava Frodig
who had emigrated from the sea coast of Figeholm in Misterhult
parish in 1865 to Iowa. The Dolks farmed in Wheeler township and
retired in Kiron around 1910. He died on 14 Nov 1914 at his home
in Kiron and was buried in the Kiron Cemetery.
