N. Florence was born on 3
March 1879 on the family farm in Wheeler township. A dedicated
church lady, she organized the "What I Can" Baptist
group in 1901 to focus on world missions. She was the leader of
that group until 1930. In 1908 she was a member of the group which
started a public library in the Kiron Baptist Church. Florence
died on 21 June 1950 and is buried in the Kiron Cemetery.
