William Lindberg was born on
15 October 1872 on the farm in Stockholm township. His parents
were Charles Lindberg and Anna Larsdotter, both of whom were born
in Värmland and emigrated from Sweden in 1869. William attended
school at Stockholm #4. In 1895 he married Ida Pauline Winquist
who lived on a neighboring farm and also attended Stockholm #4.
William and Ida had nine children: Elsie, Irene, Florence, Charles,
Floyd, Silas, Everett, Evelyn, and Harold. They operated a farm
in Otter Creek township. Ida died suddenly at age 39 in 1909.
William retired from farming about 1920 and managed the Kiron
grain elevator for a few years. He died on 13 September 1936 in
Kiron. He is buried in the Kiron Cemetery.
