Arvin was born on the Paulson family farm in Wheeler Township in Sac County, Iowa. His parents were Olof Paulson and Johanna Lovisa Ståhl, both emigrants from Sweden. Ara was born in Liberty, Nebraska. They were married in 1931 in Ida Grove, Iowa. Arvin worked as a auto mechanic for a time in Denison and Odebolt. They have two children, Joyce and Homer. Ara died in 1948. Arvin died in 1964. |
