Francis is the son of Lillian Clauson and Joesph Stehlik. He grew up on their family farm northwest of Vail. Francis graduated from Vail High School and persued a farming career. He married Olive Lacey from the Danbury area in 1955. They lived several years in the Des Moines area where Francis was employed. They have three daughters. |
