Roy Edward Carlson was born 17 March 1894 in Hayes township. He spent his entire life with his parents on the home place. Since at the age of 6 months, Roy has never been well, but has suffered more or less through sickness. About three weeks before his death, he injured his arm slightly which later set into blood poison. On 29 Sept 1927 he was taken sick in bed with pneumonia, and at 9:30 p.m. 1 October 1927 he answered the heavenly call of his Creator. At the time of his death Roy was 33 years, 6 months, and 14 days old.
He leaves to mourn over his departure, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Carlson, four brothers, Albert, Oscar, Emil and Reuben, and two sisters, Selma and Ellen. This is the fourth death to take place in this family. Roy being preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
The funeral was held Tuesday by Rev. H. E. Sedergren of Kiron assisted by Rev. Fred Hall of Odebolt.
