Louis Crook --- born 23 Dec 1877 -- died 18 mar 1933

Louis Crook was born Dec 23, 1877, in Wheeler township, Sac county, Iowa, the son of Lousie and Swan Crook, and died on Wednesday, 18 march at the age of 65 years, 2 months, and 23 days.
He attended school in Wheeler district No. 8, during his boyhood days.
Louis was an industrious man, who labored faithfully and who prospered accordingly. He loved his home, where he had spent his entire life, also helping care for his aged father, who passed away seven years ago. He was highly esteemed by all his friends and neighbors who knew him.
He was taken sick last Thanksgiving Day and four weeks of his illness was spent in the Ida Grove hospital. At his own request he was brought home a little over a week before his death, where he was tenderly cared for until his peacefully passing away.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1896, and his father in 1935. Those left to mourn, are two brothers, Albert of Los Angeles, California, and Martin of Wheeler township, one sister, Florence of Wheeler township, three nieces, one nephew and many friends.
Funeral services were held from the home on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev Arthur Erickson of the Arthur Baptist church, Mrs. Eldon Clauson and Mrs. Elmer Wilson sang two special songs.
Pall bearers were: Fred Johnson, Arvid Widen (Videan), Enoch Lundblad, Gust Carlson, Ed Johnson and David W. Johnson.
Interment was made in the family plot in the Kiron cemetery.
