Johanna A. Schwanz was born Feb. 2, 1882, and passed away April 10, 1926, at her home near Ida Grove, at the age of 44 years, 2 months and 8 days.
Mrs. Schwanz spent the early days of her life at her home near Boyer, and was united in marriage to Andrew Schwanz at Vail on Feb. 24, 1904, and the couple immediately settled on a farm north of Boyer. In 1912 they moved to the George Winans farm near Deloit, and later to the Petersen farm just west of Deloit. March 1, 1926, the family moved to a farm near Ida Grove.
Deceased is survived by her husband and seven children, a daughter Grace, being deceased. The children are Edson, living on the farm occupied by his father; Lester, Clarence, Adeline, Harry, Paul and an infant babe. She also leaves her aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Darling; four sisters, Mrs. daisy London, Boyer; Mrs. Chas Dean, Lake City; Mrs. Julius Schramm, Early; Mrs. Richard Peters, Vail, and five brothers, Robert, Deloit; Harry, Edwin, Thomas and Early, all of Crawford county.
A short funeral service was held at the home on Thursday at 10 o'clock and again at the Saints church in Deloit at 12:30, conducted by Carl Winey. Burial was made in the Vail cemetery.
