Little One Passes Away
On Tuesday, Sept 27, 1910 at 5:25 pm occurred the death of the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Johnson. Little Carlyle Alfred Johnson was born Aug 25, 1910, and was with them but a brief time as he lived only thirty-two days, dying from cholera infantum. He was sick only about seven hours.
A short funeral service was conducted by Rev. Lagerquist at the home on Thursday at 10 o'clock after which they proceeded to Kiron, where services were held in the Baptist church. The little white casket reposed in a bank of beautiful flowers, many of which were tendered by kind and loving friends. Marie Seivers, Elna Peterson, Evelyn Swanson and Ethol Lindquist, dressed in white, were the four little girls who acted as pall bearers. Interment was made in the Kiron cemetery.
The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson extend their deepest sympathy to them in this their sad bereavement and also to the little sister who will say,
Oh where, tell me where,
Has my little brother gone?
A roses's short, bright life,
Was only to him given.
They tell me I must play alone,
My brother is in heaven.
