MRS. EMMA JOHNSTON ANG
Arthur Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Ang was held Sunday afternoon 24 October 1954 at the Arthur Baptist Church. Mrs. Ang passed away in her sleep the morning of 22 October 1954 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Everett Gustafson near Storm Lake having attained the age of 70 years, 3 months and 3 days.
Special music in song, "Does Jesus Care?" and "Beyond the Sunset" was brought by the Rev. and Mrs. R. W. Forsman; and Rev. Forsman, pastor of the church, delivered the sermon. Mrs. Oscar Olson was organist.
Pallbearers were Leaworth Plain, Marlin Gustafson, James Ang, Gerald Ang, Richard Johnston and Judson Johnston. Interment was in Hayes Township cemetery.
Mrs. Ang was born Emma Johnston, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Johnston on 19 July 1884 in Hayes township, Ida county. She was a resident of ida county most of her life.
She was united in marriage to Otto Ang, on 12 january 1910. To this union four children were born: Kenwood of Early, Wilmer of Deloit, Lucille (Mrs. Levi Plain) of Kiron, and Doris (Mrs. Everett Gustafson of Storm Lake.
Mrs. Ang was a member of the Arthur Baptist church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Otto, who died 13 December 1943. She is survived by her four children, two brothers, and two sisters, three nephews, twenty-six grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
