Margaret Ann Johnston Dies At Colonial Manor

Kiron...Funeral services for Margaret Ann Johnston, 79, were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, 12 February 1973 at Maxwell Funeral Home in Denison. The Rev. T. W. Danielson officiated. He was soloist and Mrs. Richard Gustafson was organist.
Miss Johnston died at Colonial Manor in Ocebolt Friday evening, February 9, 1973.
Burial was in the Kiron Cemetery with Kenwood Ang, Wilmar Ang, Willard Carlson, Ronald Gustafson, Judson Johnston and Richard Johnston the attendants.
Margaret Ann Johnston was one of seven children of Nels and Mary Johnston, and was born in Ida County, January 19, 1894.
Margaret lived much of her life in the area of her birth, where she attended the rural schools and later the Denison Normal School. After the death of her parents, she made her home with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Carlson. In later years she and her brother, Albert, had a home together in Kiron for about six years. Upon the death of her brother, she moved back out to her sister, Sophis's where she lived until about two and one-half years ago, when she became a resident at Colonial Manor in Odebolt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers and was the last of her family.
She is survived by nieces, and nephews and s sister-in-law, Mrs. Cora Johnston of Kiron. The nieces are: Mrs. Everett Gustafsn of Alta, Mrs. Levi Plain of Denison. The nephews are Kenwood Ang of Alta, Wilmer Ang of Kiron, Willard Carlson of Krion, Judson Johnston of Ankeny, and Richard Johnston of Kiron.
