Margareta Mårtensdotter Löndberg, Jonsson Erickson - (1852 - abt 1942)

Mrs. Margreta Erickson, a former Kiron resident, died at her home in Vermillion, S.D., October 12 of heart disease. Mrs. Erickson had been in failing health for the past year. On Thursday, October 9 she became decidedly worse and passed away Sunday afternoon.
Born in Halsingland, Sweden, Mrs. Erickson resided there until after the death of her first husband, John Eric Johnson. About forty-three years ago she came to America with her six children to join her brother, Lars Londberg at Kiron. At that place she was married to Herman Erickson who died eight years later.
Mrs. Erickson lived here for 20 years when she moved to Vermillion.
She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Jubel Ostlund and Mrs. Ella(Edla) Hammerstrom of Vermillion, Mrs. E. R. Allen of Fairbank, Iowa, and Mrs. C. O. Larson of Sioux City, two sons, Gust Johnson of St. James, Minn, John Johnson of Los Angeles, one step daughter, Mrs. Ereka Larson, 21 Grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren besides a host of friends.
