The following was published in the Denison Papers in Feb 1955:


Deloit---Myrtle Bell Naslund, 70, was born Sept. 6, 1885, in East Boyer township. She was the daughter of Fred and Roselia Landon.
She passed away Feb. 21, 1955. She was married to Peter Naslund in 1910. He preceded her in death in 1940.
She was a faithful member of the Methodist church and attended as long as she was able. She stayed with her sister, Mrs. Iva Ahart, who took care of her until the end.
She leaves to mourn her death three sons, Cecil of Pocatella, Idaho; Elmer of Tampa, Florida; and Johnny of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Mrs. Iva Ahart of Deloit and Mrs. Mina Chaffee of Omaha, Nebraska.
She was loved by all her friends and neighbors for her pleasing personality.
Music was furnished by Hanford Ecklund of Kiron, accompanied by Mrs. Bryan Weberg at the piano.
Pallbearers were Roy Abbott, Harvey Linke, Albert Strissel, Norman Busch, Merle Myers, Eldridge Winey. Rev. Roger Swanson was in charge of the sermon. Burial was in the Deloit cemetery. People attended from Kiron, Vail, Denison, Dunlap and Odebolt.
