Obituary of Emma Louise Larson Carlson -- (28 July 1860 -- 17 Feb. 1934 )
Emma Louise Larson was born in Sweden 28 July 1860 and came to Denison, Iowa with her parents when a child. Her mother succumbed shortly after her arrival and her father was killed by the tornado which struck this vicinity, Easter Sunday 1879.
She joined the Kiron Baptist church in 1882 and in 1896 after moving to Bronson, Iowa joined the Bronson Community church where she was a faithful member until her death. She was united in marriage to C. W. Carlson in March 18, 1885 and they settled on a farm one mile east of Bronson and in 1925 moved into Bronson where she died 17 February 1934 at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 17 days. Surviving are her husband C. W. Carlson and five children: Mrs. D. A. Moore of Hudson, Wyoming, Mrs. O. J. Smith, Arthur, Jesse, and Charles Jr. all of Bronson, one brother Andrew of Deloit, Iowa, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One sister and five brothers preceded her in death. She was laid to rest in Graceland Park Cemetery at Morningside.
