Mrs. Amelia Lindgren Christenson - (1884 - 1941) DIES ON FRIDAY

Funeral Services Will Be Held Tuesday Afternoon at Moore Bros.

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. L. W. Christenson at Moore Bros. Funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. R. M. Hudson officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet from the Arthur Free Church. Interment was made in the Arthur Cemetery.

Amelia Lindgren, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Lindgren was born near Arthur in Blaine township 18 Dec 1884 and departed this life Friday 23 may 1941 at the age of 57 years.

Married in 1907

She was united in marriage with Leonard Christenson of Hayes, 9 June 1907. They lived for a time at Semans, Saskatchewan, Canada, also at Minneapolis, and then moved to their farm near Ida Grove in 1911.

Three children were born to this union, Mrs. Julia Monroe, St. Louis; Orville Christenson and LaDonna Christenson, Los Angeles. While living in Blaine township she attended the Free Church in that community.

She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, the three children, two grandchildren Douglas and Curtis Monroe of St. Louis; one brother Conrad Lindgren of Emmetsburg and many other relatives and friends.
