Funeral services for Alice E. Linman, 93, of Arthur, will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Evangelical Free Church in Arthur. She died Sunday, July 26, 1992, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Odebolt.

The Rev. Robert Lundberg will officiate, with burial in the Hayes Township Cemetery. The Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home of Ida Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Linman was born July 19, 1899, in Cherokee, the daughter of August and Augusta Lindquist. She attended schools in Cherokee.

On Sept. 12, 1921, she married Irvin E. Linman in Ida Grove. The couple farmed for many years in Blaine Township, Ida County. He died March 20, 1977, and she then moved into Arthur.

Mrs. Linman was an active member of the Evangelical Free Church and the Women's Missionary Society of the church.

Survivors include: a son, James Linman of Arthur and wife June; three grandchildren and their spouses, Barbara and Pat Joynt of Curlew, Bruce and Josie Linman of Stein, Germany, and Marc and Joy Linman of Kiron; seven great grandchildren; and two nieces.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Lindquist and Signe Lundell; and a brother, Hugo Lindquist.
