Reuben O. Lindskoog - (1892 - 1973) Services Held Friday

Funeral services for R. O. Lindskoog, 81, whose death occurred at the Ida Grove Hospital Tuesday, October 16, 1973, were held at the Odebolt Methodist Church at 2:00 Friday afternoon, October 19. The Rev. Allen Tunberg officiated at the service.
Dennis Lindberg was soloist, with Mrs. Corinne Down as organist.
Mrs. Ed Konrady and Mrs. Roy Werkmeister arranged the flowers. Lloyd Gotberg and Lawrence Konrady were ushers.
Burial was in the Odebolt cemetery with Curtis Carlson, Raymond Johnson, Roger Neville, Earl Johnson, Wallace Johnson and Enoch Lundblad the attendants.
Reuben Osher Lindskoog was born June 28, 1892 to Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Lindskoog at the Lindskoog Homestead. He had two sisters and four brothers, all of whom have preceded him in death.
He received his education in the rural school and North Park Academy in Chicago, which he attended for a short time.
He was married to Elna Larson June 21, 1916. They had two children, Wayne of Odebolt and Virginia, Mrs. Melvin Schmidt of Arthur. His wife preceded him in death in 1960. He was later married to Esther Wulf of Froid, Montana.
He served the community as secretary of the schoolboard of Wheeler Township; a trustee of Wheeler Township; member of the board of directors of the Odebolt Co-op elevator; and a member of the board of directors of the Kiron Telephone Company on which he was serving at the time of his death.
Mr. Lindskoog was a lifelong member of the Covenant Church of Odebolt where he was baptized and confirmed. He was a gifted singer and shared the gift with the community.
His entire life was spent in Wheeler Township with the exception of the past three years when he was a resident of Odebolt.
Survivors include his wife, Esther, son, Wayne, daughter-in-law, Ruby, daughter, Virginia, son-in-law, Melvin Schmidt and six grandchildren; also nine stepchildren.
