Obituary of Marion Lewellyn Linman  -(1921 - 1975)

Marion L. Linman, 54, of Arthur, died Sunday, 12 October 1975 in the Horn Memorial hospital in Ida Grove after a lengthy illness with cancer. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical Free church in Arthur at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, 15 October 1975 with the Rev. Robert Lundberg officiating. James and June Linman were vocalists. Burial was in the Hayes Township cemetery with Roy Hemer, Milford Barker, Donald Bergman, Duane Johnson, Wesley Love and Paul Lindgren the attendants.

Marion Lewellyn Linman was born 13 September 1921 at Arthur, Iowa, son of Roy and Ethel Linman. He was married to LaDonna Druivenga 1 July 1950. Mr. Linman was an area farmer. he also served as an ASC corn sealer and was a seed corn salesman. He was a church trustee and served in the Army in World War II. He was a member of the Baptist church. Mr. Linman is survived by his wife; two daughters, Marsha Patterson of Villisca, and Patty Weibers of Schleswig; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Linman, a resident of Colonial Manor in Odebolt; one brother, Burnelle Linman of Arthur. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve, a sister, Mrs. Jules (Dick) Carstensen, and by his father, Roy Linman.
