Steve Linman, 20, of Arthur died Monday from injuries received in a one-car accident Saturday night. Linman was along in the car. He was traveling south on the Odebolt blacktop 5 miles north of Odebolt when he lost control of the car on the slippery highway, according to State Highway Patrol. The car rolled over in a ditch and Linman was thrown from the car. He was taken to a Sac City hospital. He suffered head and internal injuries, two broken legs and broken arm.
Funeral services for Linman were held Wednesday afternoon October 3, 1973 at the Christensen Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Lundberg of the Arthur Evangelical Free Church and Rev. LeRoy Carter of the Arthur Baptist Church officiated with burial in the Hayes Township Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Linman of Arthur; two sisters, Mrs Joel (Marsha) Patterson of Villisca and Mrs. Larry Wiebers of Schleswig; and grandparents, Mrs. Roy Linman and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Druivenga of Arthur.
