Elfrieda Elizabeth Lundell Larson -
(1895 - 1978)
KIRON...Elizabeth Larson was born 16 June 1895 in Wheeler Township,
Sac County, Iowa, the daughter of Peter Gustave and Amanda Berg
Lundell. She died enroute to the Crawford County Memorial Hospital
in Denison Saturday morning, 12, August, 1978. Mrs. Larson was
83 years old at the time of her death.
As a young girl Elizabeth attended school in Sac County. She attended
Denison Normal College for one year and received one year of nurses
training at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
20 Jan 1920 Elizabeth was united in marriage to Raymond Larson
at Newman Grove, Nebraska. They made their home on a farm east
of Kiron until 1966 when they retired and moved to Kiron. Mrs.
Larson was a member of the Kiron Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Allen, who died
in 1968; two brothers, Martin and Bayard Lundell; four sisters,
Mrs. Mabel Sandstrom, Mrs. Edna Edney, Mrs. Abbie Johnson and
Mrs. Edith Baker. She is survived by her husband Raymond; one
daughter, (Marlyn) Mrs. Bud Schmitz of Kiron; one son, Bayard
of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren;
two sisters, Mrs. Mildred leonard of Odebolt and Mrs. Constance
Turinsky of Sand Point, Idaho; three brothers, George of Kiron,
Harold Lundell of Kiron and Edmund Lundell of Denison and several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00p.m. at the
the Kiron Baptist church with Pastor Gary Clark officiating. Comfort
in music was by Wayne Lindskoog as soloist singing "Old Rugged
Cross" and "How Great Thou Art" with Mrs. John
Wes Larson as organist.
Attendants were: Warren Lundell, Jim Lundell, Vance Lundell, Arne
Hard, Myron Miller and Allen Ogren. Burial was at the Kiron Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements by the Maxwell Funeral home of Denison.
