DEATH OF MRS. H. W. O'DONNELL - Nettie Amanda
Victor E. Michealson received word Wednesday of the death of his
sister, Mrs. H. W. O'Donnell, of Dallas, Texas, which occurred
on August 12th in a hospital there. She had been ill for some
time. Her niece, Miss Fern V. Johnson of Akron, Iowa was with
her at the time of her death.
Mrs. Maude O'Donnell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Michaelson,
deceased, and was born on the Michaelson homestead 1 mile south
and half mile east of Kiron. She grew to womanhood in this locality
, was always well liked, and held in high esteem. For many years
she was in the millinery business. About twenty years ago she
was united in marriage to Harry W. O'Donnell and has since traveled
extensively in the southern states, and frequently visited Kiron
while her parents were still living. Her last visit was four years
ago when her sister, Mrs. Frank Lilleholm, passed away. Three
other sisters, one brother and her parents preceded her in death.
Among these sisters was Mrs. Christine Johnson who together with
her husband and their two daughters were fatally injured in an
auto accident in August 1911.
Those who survive Mrs. O'Donnell are the husband, one brother,
V. E. Michaelson, of this place, and her niece, Miss Fern Johnson,
of Akron, Iowa, a large number of other relatives and many friends
