Funeral Services Held Friday for Aaron F. Miller Who Died August 23rd, 1949
Aaron F. Miller was born 13 march 1875 at Kiron, Iowa. He passed away at the Denison Hospital, Tuesday evening at 10:30 oclock August 23rd, 1949. He had been confined to the hospital for 13 weeks and five days. At the time of his divine summons he had reached the age of 74 years, 5 months and 10 days.
Mr. Miller grew to manhood at Kiron and attended the grade school after which he worked on farms for sixteen years. In 1900 when the railroad came through Kiron he set up a livery stable and delivery which he operated for many years after which he engaged in farming which occupation he followed until his health failed him.
The last four and a half years of his life spent in Denison.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother and a younger sister.
He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Joseph Miller of Alcester, S. D., and Enoch Miller of Kiron and Mrs. S. M. Sjogren and Mrs. L. A. (F.O.?) Johnson, both of Kiron.
The funeral services were held at the Bartcher Funeral Home Friday afternoon, August 26 at 2 oclock with Rev. Roy Larson in charge. Pall bearers were Arthur Jacobson, Raymond Larson, Kenneth Peterson, Allen Ogren, Martin Peterson and Ted Johnson.
Internment was made in the Kiron cemetery.
