Walter A. Neuman died at the Fenger hospital in Omaha at 3 o'clock p. m. Monday, August 22, 1921. He had been in failing health for several months and was given special cars and treatment in the hope of prolonging his life, but he continued to grow worse until death claimed him at the early age of 22 years, 10 months and 13 days.
Deceased was born in Stockholm township October 9th, 1898. His boyhood days were spent on the farm where he attended the rural school and completed the 8th grade and later was confirmed in the German Lutheran church. A few years ago he engaged in business in Boyer and in December, 1920 moved to Denison where he entered the restaurant business until his health failed and he was taken to Omaha for treatment.
On March 3, 1920 he was united in marriage to Miss Louise Nissen of Boyer who survives him. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Neuman, 2 brothers, Fred and John of Stockholm Twp., 7 sisters, Mesdames J. D. Neuman and Henry Neuman both of Omaha, Mrs. John C. Hagge of Ogden, Iowa, Mrs. H. W. Pithan of Boyer, Mrs. John Fredericksen of Schleswig and Mesdames L. F. and Henry Gronau of Kiron.
Funeral services at 2:30 pm Thursday, August 25 from the German Lutheran church conducted by Rev. O. Richter.
