The friends here of the Ogren family will be grieved to learn of the death of D. W. Ogren of near lake View, which occurred Sunday, March 27, 1927.

Since August 1926 Mr. Ogren has been suffering with cancer of the jaw, starting from a sore under the lower plate of his false teeth. At first it was thought to be but a canker sore but when it did not respond to the usual treatments Mr. Ogren went to Rochester and finally had an operation at Cherokee. From that time on his suffering did not appear to be so severs, but the cancer was doing its deadly work. For the past two weeks only has it been necessary for them to have a trained nurse in charge, prior to that time he was able to go to the doctors office to have the afflicted place dressed.

Daniel William Ogren was born, 15 Sept 1873 at Dexter, Dallas Co, Iowa. On 1 March 1877, he came with his parents to Kiron. From that time the family have always lived in this vicinity. Mr. Ogren with his wife and family lived on a farm in Clinton Township, Sac County.

Mr. Ogren was married in 1898 to Mary Bettin of Clinton township,

He had moved to this locality in 1896.

He was at the time of his death 53 years 6 months and 12 days old. Beside his wife and three children, Elmer, Wayne and Lois, all at home, he leaves his father, John Ogren, two sisters, Mrs. C. L. Teaquist of Spencer, Nebr, and Mrs. John Olson of Hudson, S. D. , three brothers, G. H. of Spencer, Nebr., Emil and Frank of Kiron. The oldest son, Clarence preceded him in death in 1919 at the age of 17 years.

The funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Presbyterian church at Odebolt and burial will be made in Wall Lake cemetery.
