Arthur B. Olson - (1900 - 1982)
Funeral services for Arthur B. Olson were held in the Christensen Funeral Home in Ida Grove, 2 January 1982 with Rev. Robert Lundberg officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Oscar Olson at the organ and Mrs. Vernie Huldeen, soloist. pallbearers were Edward Skarin, Kevin Kuehl, Kermit Siebrecht, John McDonough, Robert Siebrecht and Lloyd Siebrecht. Interment was in the Ida Grove Cemetery.
Arthur B. Olson, son of John and Bertha Lena Olson, was born 2 October 1900 in Ida County. He passed away at the Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, 31 December 1981. He received his education in rural schools of Sac and Ida counties. He worked as a farm laborer for several years. From 1949 until his retirement he worked with the Hallett Cement Company in Lake View later moving to Arthur. In 1973 he and his wife Erma moved to the Morningside Care Center in Ida Grove where he resided until his death. He and Erma mason were united in marriage 23 November 1936.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Elna Olson, Three brothers, Ernest, Clarence and Oscar Olson, all of rural Schaller; and a brother in law, John Siebrecht of Odebolt. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Erma; a brother, Henry Olson of rural Schaller; two sisters, Mrs. john Siebrecht (Hilma) of Odebolt and Mrs. Ross Seckman (Esther) of Sac City; two sisters in law, Mrs. Oscar Olson (Ruth) of rural Schaller and Mrs. Ernest Olson (Edna) of Ida Grove; a brother in law, Ross Seckman of Sac City; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
