Elmer Palm died January 29, 1933 at Sioux City. His mother, K. J. Palm and son Emmanuel motored to Sioux City but did not reach in time. Elmer had undergone an appendicitis operation which he did not recover from. Funeral services were held at the Arthur Baptist Church. Rev. Lovene officiated with burial in the Hayes Cemetery. He was 30 years old, born 2 October 1902. He was a farmer. Survivors include his parents, sister, Esther Lindgren, and brother, Emmanuel of Arthur.

Elmer Palm, 30, a resident of Ida county and a son of K. J. Palm of Hayes township, died Sunday, January 29 in a Sioux City hospital, following an operation for appendicitis. At the time he was taken sick, he was visiting his sister, Mrs. Elmer Lindgren, 2104 Orleans Avenue, Sioux City. Mr. Palms funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Arthur Baptist church and he was laid to rest in the Hayes township cemetery.
