Obituary of Albin Henry Roberts - 1990
Services for Alvin Henry Roberts, 76, of Arthur were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Evangelical Free Church in Arthur. He died Monday, 3 Sept 1990 at the Willow Dale care Center in Battle Creek. The Rev. Robert Lundberg officiated, with burial in the Hayes Township Cemetery. The Christensen-Ciha Funeral Homes of Ida Grove were in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Roberts was born on 5 March 1914 to Joe and Magnora (Cahill) Roberts in Bland, Mo. He graduated from the Nemaha High School and Attended the American Business Institute in Omaha, Neb. He married Maxine Kelly on 5 Feb. 1935 in Nebraska City, Neb. During the 50's he and his wife farmed in the Hayes Township area. Then he worked for F.S.Service in Ida Grove and most recently he was custodian at the Odebolt-Arthur Middle School in Arthur for 11 years before retiring in 1976. Mr. Roberts was a member of the Arthur Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Maxine Roberts of Arthur; one son, Terry of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Comstock of Spirit Lake and Mrs. Larry (Jeanette) Webber of St. Peters, Mo.; 12 Grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ed of Dumes, Texas, Roy of Citrus Heights, Calif. and Walter of Herman, Mo.; and one sister, Mrs. Oma Miller of Greenville, Texas.
