Obituary of Mrs. Henry A. Hansohn Who Died 28 Nov. 1955

Mrs. Henry A. Hansohn, born Ida Karoline Charolette Schultz, on 8 April 1886 and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was the daughter of August and Charolette Schultz. She was united in marriage to Henry Hansohn on 27 Feb. 1910 when they went to farming on their farm in Stockholm township, Crawford County which was their home until 1946 when they retired from farming and moved to their home in Kiron which has been their home since. Four sons were born to this union, Raymond died in 1911.

She leaves to survive her husband, and three sons, Edward, LeRoy and Walter all of Kiron, two brothers, Herman and Walter Schultz and one sister, Mrs. Charles Gronau. Four grandsons and one grand daughter. She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Hansohn was a faithful and active member of the St. Johns Lutheran church and Ladies Aid, where she will be greatly missed as well as among her large circle of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hansohn passed away at the Schaller hospital after a lingering illness on 28 November 1955 at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 2 days.  Memorial services were held at the St. Johns Lutheran church on Thursday afternoon, December 1st with Rev. Kahre officiating.  "Heaven is My Home" and "Rock of Ages" was sung by Mrs. Albert Gronau, Mrs. Bob Leitz, Mrs. Milton Gierman and Mavis Schultz with Mrs. Everett Gronau at the organ. Pallbearers were: Milton Gierman, Irvin Schultz, Joe Gierman, Vern Gronau, Ralph Schultz and Wilbert Namanny. Interment was in the St. Johns Cemetery.
