Harry Skarin Funeral Held Friday

KIRON...Funeral Services for Harry Skarin, 67, of Kiron were held at the Evangelical Free Church in Kiron at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, March 9 with the Rev. T. W. Danielson officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Lewellyn Larson were vocalists and Mrs. Richard Gustafson organist. Burial was in the Kiron Cemetery with Verl Bartlett, Lester Ellerbusch, LeRoy Salmon, Bruce Skarin, Warren Skarin and Robert Skarin the attendants.
Harry William Skarin, son of Fred and Augusta (Gustafson) Skarin, was born on a farm north of Kiron in Ida County, Iowa Sseptember 30, 1905. He attended the Ida County schools and grew to manhood in the area.
February 6, 1928, he was married to Margaret Nordell in Ida Grove, Iowaa. They had one daughter, Beverly. Harry had lived all of his life in the Kiron area and died at his farm home March 6, 1973. He had not enjoyed good health for several years.
He drove a school bus for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Esther, and three brothers, Axel, John and David.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, daughter Beverly and son-in -law, James Cronin and six grandchildren, Debbie, Denise, Jeffrey, Kerry, Doreen and Leigh Ann, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Salmon and Mrs. Mabel Johnson of Odebolt.
