Services for Mrs C. B. Larson (Ida Carolina Skarin) Held In Kiron.

KIRON...Ida Caroline Larson was born in Uglum, Sweden 28 August 1886, the fifth child in a family of 11.
She came to this country from her native Sweden in 1901 and immediately transferred membership to the Bethel Lutheran Church of Kiron. She resided in Kiron since her marriage to Charles. B. Larson in 1908.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Carroll Larson of Iowa City, a daughter, Miss Ruth Larson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; four grandchildren, John Larson of Tallahassee, Florida, Carroll B. Larson, Jr. Of Minnetonka, Minnesota. Charles Jeffrey Larson of Iowa City and Lori Faith Larson of Iowa City; three great grandchildren, Eric and Jenifer Larson of Tallahassee, Florida and Jill Larson of Minnetonka, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Swanson of Hitchcock, South Dakota, and Mrs. Elaine Benson of Rapid City, South Dakota.
For the past ten years she has resided with her daughter in Minneapolis during the winter months and returned to Kiron for the summers.
Mrs. Larson died in Minneapolis January 7, 1974 after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Friday, January 11 at 11:00 a. M. in the Bethel Lutheran Church in Kiron. Mrs. Edna Leaf was organist and Pastor Wallace B. Johnson officiated. Pallbearers were Kenneth Bauman, LaVerne Boyens, Larry Joe Boyens, Burdette Witte, Robert Skarin and Warren Skarin. Burial was in the Kiron cemetery.
