Marjorie "Peggy" Lindgren

Funeral services for Marjorie G. "Peggy" Lindgren, 71, of Schaller were at 10:30 a.m. last Thursday in the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Schaller. She died Tuesday, April 16 1991, in Marian Health Center with complications following by-pass surgery.

The Rev. Herman Kelly officiated, with burial in Hayes Township Cemetery near Arthur. Farber & Otteman Funeral Home of Odebolt was in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie G. Lindgren, known to her family and friends as Peggy, was born April 14, 1920, in Kiron.

She married Iver Lindgren on April 5, 1937, in Yankton,. S.D.

She was a member of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ at rural Schaller.

She and her husband farmed north of Schaller until his death. Twelve years ago, she moved to Schaller.

Survivors include: her mother, Esther Skarin of Wall Lake; two daughters, Janice Altmanshofer of Indianapolis; Ind. and Marlys Davis of Conifer, Colo., one son, David, of Schaller; six grandchildren; one great grandson; three brothers Boyd Skarin of Sioux City, Charles Skarin of Nebraska and Terry Skarin of Colorado; and one sister, Lue Clauson of Boone.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Skarin; her husband, Iver Lindgren; an infant daughter; four brothers, Eldred, Junior, Ralph and Lester Skarin; and one sister, Marion Gregg.
