Notice in the 6 February 1930 Odebolt Chronicle:
S. P. Tunberg, a pioneer of this county died at his home in Arthur on Wednesday morning 29 Jan 1930, after a long illness of sarcoma in his left leg. He has resided here for nearly 40 years and was at the time of his death 69 years old. He was a native of Sweden. He married Hilma Lindgren after coming to this country.
His wife and 5 children: Harry C., Hildur, Herbert, Hazel Soiseth, Henry and 7 grandchildren survive him. He also leaves a sister, Mary Holt and a brother Charles Tunberg. He was a faithful member of the Free Mission Church. Interment was in the Arthur Cemetery.
