ELLEN ESTHER LINDQUIST
Ellen Esther Lindquist, daughter of John P. and Hilda Lundberg
Turin, was born December 19, 1888 in Hayes Township, Ida County.
She was converted October 13, 1900, and baptized joining the Arthur
Baptist church. She spent her early years on the family farm until
her marriage to William Linquist on February 19, 1919, when they
moved to a farm in Sac County.
Two children were born: Lloyd, who preceded her in death April
20, 1953, and Eleanor, who survives. She was also preceded in
death by her husband on April 5, 1939.
Ellen and Eleanor moved into Odebolt in the fall of 1953 where
she lived until February 1981, when she became a resident of Colonial
Manor at Odebolt.
She passed away November 13, 1982 at the Horn Memorial Hospital
after a long illness.
Surviving Ellen's death is her daughter Eleanor; one brother and
four sisters: Herbert Turin of Odebolt; Myrtle Turin of Odebolt;
Lydia (Mrs. George) Teaquist of Odebolt; Ida (Mrs. Weldon) Pickering
of Sioux Rapids; and Mildred (Mrs. Carl) Abbott of Greenfield;
plus many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are five brothers: Ablin, Edwin, Ernest,
Arnold, and Ernest, and one sister Ether (Mrs. Clifford Larson).
