Services for Bryan Weberg, 86, of Kiron were Tuesday morning at the Kiron Baptist church with the Rev. Gary Clark officiating. He died Saturday, 24 July at the Crawford County Memorial hospital in Denison. Burial was in the Kiron cemetery under the direction of the Maxwell Funeral home of Denison. Graveside rites were conducted by the American Legion post 383 of Kiron.
Mr. Weberg was born 1 April 1896 on a farm three miles south of Kiron. He graduated from the Denison high school in 1915. After graduation he farmed with his father and brothers and later entered World War I. After the war he farmed with his brothers until he married margaret Pearson at Denison on 5 Aug 1925. The couple then farmed an Otter Creek township farm. Mr. Weberg was appointed to serve on the State soil conservation committee for six years by Governor Loveless and for another six years by Governor Hughes.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Lois Buchanan of Phoenix and Mrs. Ronald (Lynn) Sandquist of Woodbury, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
