As told by Flossie Johnson : The Broadstreets were a prominent Mt. Pleasant family . Their house is now a museum. Paralee's younger brother, Ernest , lived in El Paso,Texas. Ernest Broadstreet had 2 sons , both catholic , who worked with The Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd.

Paralee is buried at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton, Texas.

(1880) Titus County, Texas Census shows that Paralee was 21 years old and that she was born in Mississippi and her father was born in Tennessee. No birthplace given for her mother. Alonzo and Paralee had no children at this time.

Born in Coffeville, Minnesota or Mississippi??? Copy of Irving Thornton's birth certificate shows she was born in Mississippi.

ibid p. 96 7 June 1329 Robert Bruce died at Cardross. His body was buried at Dunformline, but in accordance with his dying wish, his heart was cut from it and carried on a crusade by Sir James Douglas. When it returned, it was given separate burial at Melrose Abbey.
