Descendants John Gay of Nash County North Carolina

Jesse Gay, b. 1808 was married 11 Oct. 1838 to Mary A. Hunter.  He died in

Jefferson Co. Kansas.  Mary Hunter was born April 22, 1818 in Illinois and

died 24 October, 1909 in Gentry Co., Mo.  Mary Hunter Gay is buried in

Henton Cemetery, Gentry Co., Mo. and her information was taken down by me

from her tombstone.

 

Emily Jane Gay, born 26 October, 1842, Gentry Co., MO, died 1 Nov., 1930,

Gentry Co. MO.  Married Henry Patton Dills 10 March, 1864. Emily is buried

in New Friendship Cemetery, Gentry Co. with the Dills family.  Many Dills

descendants still live in Gentry County, and the Albany Public Library has

an extensive file of information on the family.

 

Judah Ann Gay was born 17 Jan. 1846, Gentry Co., MO, and died 29 Dec. 1938

in Gentry Co., MO.  Her father was Charles Gay; mother unknown.  She married

Alexander M. Rainey, ca. 1865.  She is buried in McFall Cemetery, Gentry Co.
