These pension
records are at the National Archives in Washington, DC and
can be obtained by
filling out a NATF-80 form (available by request
through the
National Archives Web Site or most LDS Family History
Centers have the
form). The cost of the pension file is $10. until
Sept when they
plan to increase the price to about $40. These pension
files usually
contain a wealth of information about the soldier and his
family and are
well worth obtaining.
