being first duly sworn upon his oath says; that he is 78 years of age. That he is the son of
Phoebe Cranston
, now deceased, who was a daughter of
Jesse Marsh
, whose last will and testament is recorded in Will Record A. on pages 65 and 66 in the Clerk’s Office of Grant County, Indiana; and also recorded in Deed Record No 86 page 192 in the Recorder’s Office of Grant County, Indiana. |

That said
Jesse Marsh
left as his only heirs the following named persons;
Rachel Marsh
, his widow;
Phoebe Cranston

Enoch Marsh
;
Elizabeth Pulley
;
Benjamin Marsh
;
Lorenzo D. Marsh
;
Elisha Marsh
;
Vashti Tippey
;
Martha Jane Pulley
;
Matilda Anna Bevard
;
Isaac Marsh
;
Charity Bevard
;
James Marsh
;
Mary Boller
and
Joseph Marsh
as sons and daughters. That said
Rachel Marsh
died intestate on or about the….. day of ---- 18----, and left as her only heirs the above named children of herself and said

Phoebe Cranstone
, named as one of the grantors in a certain deed executed by
Enoch Marsh
and others to
James Marsh
for certain real estate therein described and recorded in Deed Record “Q” of Grant County, Indiana on pages 304 and 305, was the same person as
Phoebe Cranston
, who signed said deed and that she was a widow on October 24, 1854, the date of the execution of said deed. |

And he further says that his said mother, named as
Phoebe Cranston
, as one of the grantors in a deed executed by
Enoch Marsh
and others to
Benjamin Marsh
on Mar 1, 1855 for real estate therein described; which deed is recorded in Deed Record “V” on pages 288-290 of Grant County, Indiana, was a widow on said date. |

That in said last described deed,
Jonathan Buller
and
Mary Buller
are named as grantors and signed said deed by said names. |
|||||||||
|
That the correct name of said grantor named as
Mary Buller
, was
Mary Boller
and that
Jonathan Boller
, named therein as
Jonathan Buller,
was her husband on the day said deed was executed. And that said
Mary Bolle
r was one of the heirs of said
Jesse Marsh

And he further says that he was acquainted with
Jonathan Bevard
who was named
Jonathan Berard
as grantee, in a certain deed executed by
Jesse Marsh
and
Rachel Marsh
, his wife, for real estate therein described; which deed is recorded in Deed Record “H” on page 237 of Grant County, Indiana. And that the correct name of said grantee was
Jonathan Bevard
. That he was the same
Jonathan Bevard
who was the grantor for the same real estate in a deed executed to
John Foster
recorded in Deed Record “V” page 275-76 of Grant County, Indiana. |

And affiant further says that he was personally acquainted wit
h Elijah Count, Jr
. on February 9, 1865 on which date

Ruth Foster
, his wife executed a certain warranty deed to said
Elijah Counts, Jr
. for certain real estate therein described; which deed was recorded in Deed Record “W” on page 484 of Grant County, Indiana. And he knows and says that said grantee,
Elijah Counts
, Jun. was the same person
Elijah Counts
, who with
Amy Counts
, his wife, executed a certain warranty deed on October 7, 1867, to
Benjamin Marsh
for real estate therein described ; which deed is recorded in Deed Record “Z” page 525 of Grant County, Indiana. |

And affiant further says that he was personally acquainted with
Benjamin Marsh
and
Mary Marsh
, his wife, on January 19, 1874, on which date the said
Benjamin Marsh
and
Mary Marsh,
as grantors, executed to
John Marsh
a certain warranty deed for real estate therein described; which deed is recorded in Deed Record no. 15 page 198 of Grant County, Indiana, and that on said date the said grantor,
Mary Marsh
was the widow of the grantor,
Benjamin Marsh. |
