He was married to Patience McGuire on 15 Aug 1804 in Jefferson Co., Tennessee. Patience McGuire was born on 19 Sep 1781. She died on 29 Oct 1861 in Yankee Pt. Cem. Ver. Co. IL. Amos Ashmore and Patience McGuire had the following children:
